Annie and Jeff’s engagement session was shot in Fletcher, Ohio. Fletcher is a teeny tiny town with a covered bridge that holds a special place in Annie’s family. Her Grandmother started a committee and held fundraisers in order to rebuild and bring to life a vision for the town. It became her pride and joy. Since then her Grandmother is no longer with us. By shooting these engagement photos here they’re able to bring a piece of her into the wedding planning experience and honor her in memory.

Annie’s mother came along for the session, she was such an amazing help! She was our dog wrangler and gave them threats. I made a comment while shooting about how much I would love to shoot next door with their willow trees (as you already know are my favorite). Her mother says “Oh I know them, I’ll just go ask them!” She wasted no time in getting us permission. And to top it off she even made sure Annie’s lips were always glossed. What would we do without our mommas!

Their outfit choices were absolutely beautiful for the session, and I loved how that blue popped with everything. And you know I how happy I get when we get dogs involved in our sessions! These two sisters did so well paying attention, not tugging at the leash, looking at the camera, and didn’t bark, they were just perfect. I’m so glad that we could incorporate the fur family in the photos. 

Seeing such beautiful light and such an adorable couple in love makes me filled with so much excitement for their wedding day when they’re all dressed up in a suit and tie and an incredible wedding dress. As we shot we discussed wedding plans. Jeff told me details about what he and the other groomsmen would be wearing. And Annie told me the different dress colors and styles that the girls would be wearing. Needless to say I feel it in my bones it’s going to be a magical wedding and I am so blessed to be part of shooting it and documenting it for this couple!
