Rachel and Nick are the sweetest high school sweethearts. If you’ve been following my photography journey, you know that I love to work with high school sweethearts. It’s so special and carries this innocence that just melts my heart.

What I loved about hanging out with Rachel and Nick is that I could see how much they cared for each other; really wanting to make sure that the other is comfortable and taken care of.

They talked about how awkward they were in pictures, but I proudly showed them the back of the camera after taking a shot and proved that they were lying to themselves. As you can see, they are just stinkin’ adorable. A picture is worth 1000 words and it does not lie!

Since they were high school sweethearts, I asked them if they ever broke up. They laughed and they said, “We did, only one time though.” They didn’t even remember what it was over but they both agreed that it was probably something silly and stupid. I love the fact that they don’t even remember why they broke up. Just shows they have been practicing “forgiving and forgetting” already.

Of course, we had to end the shoot with a mask shot to document how weird this time is and to remember what their real engagement dealt with.

The future looks very bright for this high school sweetheart couple. I am SO excited to meet their friends and family for the wedding!
